Eurocork is made in Europe specifically in Portugal. Portugal has a long history of cork manufacturing dating back to the 1800's.

Is Cork sustainable?

Cork harvesting is a sustainable process that does not harm
the tree. Unlike traditional timber harvesting, Cork Oak trees are never cut
down or removed. Instead, only the outer bark is carefully harvested, allowing
the tree to remain healthy and continue growing.

What makes the Cork Oak truly remarkable is its ability to
naturally regenerate its bark after each harvest. A Cork Oak can live for up to
200 years, with its bark harvested approximately every nine years throughout
its lifetime.
