Instructor Christopher Knell

Christopher Knell is a certified master plasterer with over 38 years of experience specializing in Venetian plaster, lime plasters, and architectural finishes. Trained in England through a traditional three-year apprenticeship, Christopher went on to found Contemporary House Ltd., where he blends historic craftsmanship with modern design.

His work, inspired by European techniques and global travel, transforms walls into luminous, elegant surfaces. As an instructor, Christopher brings the same passion to teaching as he does to his craft—offering hands-on, collaborative workshops that give participants the skills and confidence to create timeless finishes with a contemporary edge.
